Since its incorporation in 1980, The Town of Farragut has been committed to providing pedestrian connectivity to all parts of the Town, knowing that “connectivity” is the common bond in establishing community. One of the key east-west routes parallels US Highway 11-70 – more commonly referred to as Kingston Pike – the corridor along which the Town’s incorporation was based.
With the exception of a short 2,100 LF section, the Town had successfully completed this connectivity through numerous projects over its 38-Year history. But it was this short section that proved the most challenging.
Unofficially named “the missing link,” the section of the pedestrian-way connects Virtue Road, with that segment constructed under the Townhomes at Wentworth Development.
CCI led a Design Team with two sub-consultants and developed conceptual design alternatives for consideration by the Town and Willow Creek Golf Club. CCI facilitated discussions between the Town and Golf Course and prepared the final Construction Documents.
