2/26/15–Cannon & Cannon is excited to share our submittal of four projects for consideration at ACEC’s 2015 Engineering Excellence Awards in Nashville, TN on March 3.
According to ACEC:
“Being excellent isn’t easy, but engineers do it every day. Each year ACEC of Tennessee provides 13 opportunities to put the spotlight on your projects at the Engineering Excellence Awards. The competition recognizes engineering firms for work that demonstrates a high degree of achievement, value, and ingenuity. The Grand Iris Award is considered “Best in Show” and is presented to the project judged to be the best overall in competition. 12 additional awards are handed out in each of the 12 project categories.”
29 projects have been submitted by 22 companies for consideration. Each project will be judged on overall engineering excellence in each of 12 categories based on the services performed by the submitting firm. Each project is rated based on the following rating guidelines:
- Uniqueness and/or Innovative Application of New or Existing Techniques
- Future Value to the Engineering Profession and Perception by the Public
- Social, Economic, and Sustainable Design Considerations
- Successful Fulfillment of Client/Owner Needs
We appreciate the opportunity to share these projects with the engineering community and are grateful to play a role. We look forward to this year’s event and we hope you’ll wish us luck!
