Project Description:

Cannon & Cannon provided a complete design for a new sludge heating system at the Glasgow Wastewater Treatment Plant in Glasgow, Kentucky.  The existing system utilized a sludge heater that was initially installed 30+ years ago.  The new design replaced the old heater with a 750,000 BTUH skid mounted boiler system with an 800 gallon atmospheric storage tank.  A stainless steel spiral heat exchanger was installed within the sludge piping prior to the plants two existing digestors. This provides a more efficient and operator friendly sludge heating process.  The new boiler is also utilized to provide heating water to 6 unit heaters in the main operations building.
