Project Description:

ACuPowder, LLC is a manufacturer of metallic powders.  Their Greenback TN facility owns and operates a 13kV overhead distribution system, taking power from Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative through a primary metering point.  The overhead system feeds several banks of 13kV to 480V transformers around the plant.  Cannon & Cannon is providing engineering services for the rebuilding of ACuPowder’s electrical system to better meet existing codes and regulations.  The use of Hendrix spacer cable and potential underground cables will be examined, as well as consolidation of transformer banks to allow for lower losses and better secondary service to the plant’s equipment.
