UTILITIES PROJECT MANAGER/ENGINEER (PE)

This person will serve as a Project Manager and will manage project teams to design water and wastewater utility infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include managing projects, client interfacing/coordination, QA/QC, budgeting, and mentoring a team of engineers/designers. Management of the project includes conceptual to design to project closeout.

Minimum qualifications include:
• At least a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college
• Four (4) years of experience working in water/wastewater utility projects
• Experience in natural gas projects is a bonus
• P.E. Registration in Tennessee and/or Kentucky, or the ability to obtain within one (1) year
• Work in our Knoxville office as well as the company’s Remote Work Policy

ELECTRIC UTILITIES PROJECT ENGINEER (PE)

This person will serve as a Project Manager and will manage project teams to design electric infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include managing projects, client interfacing/coordination, QA/QC, and budgeting. Management of the project includes conceptual to design to project closeout.

Minimum qualifications include:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering at an ABET Accredited college
• Ten (10) years of experience working in electric utility projects
• P.E. in Kentucky and/or Tennessee, or the ability to obtain P.E. within one (1) year of hiring
• Transmission and distribution line design
• Electric System Modeling/Master Planning
• Substation design is a bonus
• Work in our Knoxville, TN office

UTILITIES CADD DESIGNER

This person will serve as a CADD Designer and should have interests/experience in water, wastewater, gas, and electric utilities. The position will provide design support on various utility engineering projects and report directly to CCI’s Knoxville Utilities Team Leader.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Associated degree in Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technology or 3 years experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D Design
• Familiarity with Revit and/or MicroStation Open Roads is a bonus
• Work in our Knoxville Office as well as the company’s remote policy

UTILITIES ENGINEER INTERN

This person will serve as a designer on a variety of water and wastewater utility infrastructure projects including municipal and privately-funded projects. The position requires involvement with project design and production including but not limited to: design and layout of proposed facilities, CADD production, hydraulic analysis and calculations, field inspections and similar requirements for support of the project manager and team leaders.

Minimum qualifications include:
• At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering at an accredited college
• An Engineering Intern (EI) Registration or the ability to obtain within one (1) year
• Ability to utilize AutoCAD is desired
• Ability to work in our Knoxville office

UTILITIES CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

This person reports to the Utilities Division Leader/Team Leads. The applicant should have at least five (5) years of progressive experience in utility infrastructure projects. Under general direction, this position is responsible for technical civil construction inspection, EP&SC inspection, materials sampling/testing, and project administration. This position requires specific technical certifications, or the ability to obtain such specific certifications as soon as the training opportunity is available. This position requires the astute ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people; such as the general public, local businesses, property owners, contractors, and our clients. Though rare, occasional overnight travel may be required. Candidate must possess and maintain a Class D driver’s license valid to operate vehicles in the State of Tennessee.

Minimum qualifications include:
• Knowledge of water and sewer line construction
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plant construction r
• Knowledge of lift station and booster station construction
• Knowledge of concrete construction • Basic knowledge of TDOT roadway construction
• Knowledge of office clerical tasks including data entry and form completion(written or electronic)
• Intermediate skill of mathematics (arithmetic and geometry)
• Knowledge of work zone traffic control per MUTCD standards
• Knowledge of EP&SC inspection requirements

TRANSPORTATION PROJECT ENGINEER 

Minimum qualifications include:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering at an accredited college
• Six (6) years of experience working in Transportation projects
• P.E. in Kentucky and/or Tennessee, or the ability to obtain P.E. within one (1) year of hiring
• Experience in roadway and/or traffic signalization design projects
• Work in our Memphis, TN office
