Senior Project Manager Civil Engineer

Cannon & Cannon, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Project Manager Civil Engineer in our Site Development Department in the Knoxville, TN office.

A Senior Project Manager has supervisory and budgetary management responsibility for civil engineering projects and is the principal project administrator and communications link between the Firm & the Client, Sub-Consultants, Local, State and Federal Regulatory Agencies, Public Authorities, and the General Construction Contractor. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for production schedules, project budgets, quality control for deliverables and overall management of the project. In addition, the position requires the mentoring and management of Junior Engineers, Engineering Interns and Civil Engineering Designers under direct supervision.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Enginering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience or the equivalent thereof
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee with a valid driver’s license
  • Requires  a willingess to work a flexible schedule
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work required for deadlines
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D drainage and hydraulic modeling software is a plus

senior electrical engineer/group leader

Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer/Group Leader for their growing Electric Utilities group, located in Knoxville, TN.   This role will be responsible for augmenting our Electrical Utilities team, as well as expanding our market share throughout the Southeast region.  The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit with 15-20 years of electrical design engineering experience with a focus on power.  The ability to market and expand into different sectors, as well as leading and creating a collaborative team is critical for the success of this role.

required Education and/or experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer within the state of TN or KY or the ability to obtain within one year.
  • Engineering degree from an accredited university (BSEE preferred)
  • PLS CADD experience required
  • Photometric lighting experience preferred
  • 15 years of work experience with a progressive career track
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills to communicate effectively with clients, field engineers, peers, and management.
